Raivyn, RW2 GameMaster

I haven't had much time to play lately.. AND my mouse is broken, so I have to resort to the built-in mouse on my laptop. I can move fairly well, but it's nothing like a real mouse. I feel like a friggin cripple.

So basically I just stay logged in to RW2 where I'm a GM and answer pages and whatnot. Sometimes it's fun to toy with the players that like to sit and chat in the Luna bank.. like making the trash cans talk to them.

I'll be buying another mouse when I get the chance, so I'll be back around soon enough. Real life has been awefully busy lately.

Just another day of farming..

I've been awefully busy lately, so today I only had time to tend to my plants and do a little gold/item farming. Today's monster of choice was the Swoop.

I left Ilshenar with a few items to put on my vendors and about 20k for the bank.

Today's Tokuno Adventure

Mirror, mirror on the wall.. who's the one to slay them all?

I had a lot of free time on my hands today, so I decided to collect some ToTs (Treasures of Tokuno) in Isamu Jima. The spawn was awefully thick today, but that was nothing more than a small annoyance.

It took a while, but I eventually got it under control with the help of Haze, my purple cu sidhe, and an energy vortex. It was smooth sailing from then on out.

I didn't stay to finish the spawn (who can take on all those hiryus and revenant lions alone?), just long enough to walk out with a few ToTs to throw into a box for future use. I'm not sure what I'll trade them in for yet, maybe a pair of Stormgrips later on when I create a dexxer.

Decorating for October

Happy October, RWians! In spirit of the new season, I collected pumpkins to spice up the house, and dressed my vendors to match.

Stop by and check it out. It'll be like this until after Thanksgiving, then it'll be time to get ready for the winter holidays. :)

Hello, RWR!

I left everything behind and moved to RWR. It's still Raistlin's World, but when a couple friends stopped playing there, I felt it was time to move on to the OSI clone shard, Raistlin's World: Reborn. That is my new home. I don't even login to the other shard anymore.. I don't want to look at all the cool stuff I left behind.

At least on RWR I have a Luna house. I don't have much yet, but it's a nice start. It'll all come with time. I'm going to be spending a lot of time on deco too, so when the shard gets busier and you round that southeast corner outside Luna, expect to see something elaborate.

Red Death is moving to Saqqara!

That's right, kiddies! I'm packing up all my crap and moving my vendor mall to the S*F player town of Saqqara on July 1st. Even though this may possibly kill business for a short while, I think this will take both my guild and town to the next level. I've already started drawing out the first floor..

It's not much to see at the moment, but I can guarantee it'll be much better than the stone keep.
This new location and design means new vendors (in addition to the ones I already have), lots of sales, and a few other surprises. I'm wearing my creativity hat this week. :)

It's June already!

I can't believe I've been on RW for five months now.. where has all the time gone?

I started doing the rare colored seed quest, so now I can grow pink, magenta, aqua, and fire red plants. Along with that, I'm crossing plants to get the bright orange pampas grass for orange petals. I'm about halfway there, so the resources will probably come around in a couple weeks.. keep an eye on my vendor. I've been told that they will probably be a popular item.

New plant vendor, new cu.. new job..

Wow, it's been forever and a day since I've last posted.. one month to be exact. I've been so tired lately since I got my new job, so this blog wasn't exactly in the top five things to do every day.

Anyway, my plant vendor has been up for a couple weeks now. As far as I know, there is only one other on the shard, but I could be wrong.. there could be two others. Not that I have much competition. As usual, I have a broad selection of sale items (various plants of many different colors, resources, and garden decor) and my prices are the cheapest on the shard.

I was also given a new cu sidhe the other day.. the nice guy insisted that he didn't want any money for it, and it's one of those rare, outdated ones with a crapload of hit points. Love it! Kudos to Hunter Xavier. You rock, dude. :)

I'm surprised I haven't killed them yet.

As you can see, I've added even more plants to my collection. They now take up the entire back wall of the alliance house. I also have a bunch now growing on the roof of my own house, thanks to Baralis, who put a couple teleport pads in there for me.

I've been watering them every morning when I wake up, and they're doing great. I think I'll have a plant vendor set up sometime in the next two weeks, depending on how many plants I have to sell.

My collection is expanding.

Okay.. I'm addicted. I can't stop planting more seeds. Now my collection has spread over to the guild alliance house. It was contained to one room, but after Simmy gave me some bright green barrel cactus seeds this morning, I had to continue on to the back hallway. Hope I don't run out of room anytime soon..

Awwe.. Aren't they cute?

Well, the first batch of plants are fully grown and cross pollinated. I'll collect seeds from these guys and then change them to decorative mode, then they'll be sold. Simple enough.

Vine collecting today..

While decorating the guild alliance house on the north side of Umbra with Slipknot this morning, we decided we needed some more vines to put on the walls of my soon-to-be glass blowing workshop. And luckily enough, the lovely Simmy shared some of her green thorns with me.

This was my first time planting the thorns and collecting the vines from the monster plants that pop up, and I was very amused with the process. Looks like I'll be cross-pollinating a blue and yellow plant to get a few green seeds so I can do this again in a couple weeks.
And maybe that plant vendor will come around sometime soon..

And more plants..

Well, the first row of plants have reached their mature state, so now I have a red tribarrel cactus, red campion flowers, and an uncommon bonzai tree. The row back against the wall should reach maturity either tomorrow or the next day.

I decided to plant four more red seeds on the east wall of my house, too. I guess we'll see what grows.

I'm thinking about putting a plant vendor in my house, too. We'll see how many plants I get and then I'll decide. I'm not quite sure where I'd put it yet.

Insomnia and seed collecting.

3:15 in the morning and I can't sleep.. And so I decided to go out and collect some colored seeds. It's quite boring really, but the boglings spawn up quickly.

I've also arranged for a couple guildmates to watch my plants for me on days when I don't have time to take care of them, like this weekend when I'll be in three different states over three days.

6:00 am, no restart..

What? No server restart today? What's up with that, guys? I want my plants to hit their next growth stage! Even the potions I put on them yesterday morning are still there.. Gah!

And another blog begins..

Today I was reading about growing plants on UO and began to realize how complex it is. With all the different possibilities and time involved, I needed a place to track my progress.. and so this blog was born. I just hope I have the time to keep up with it all. I may have to hire someone to water my plants for me if I don't have time to login on the weekends.

Here's the first picture- so far I've got one wilted uncommon plant (Yes, I neglected it.), two vibrant red saplings, two vibrant yellow seeds, and two vibrant blue seeds.

I guess we'll see what happens..
